Our Mission: Improve all types of motion with motion plastics, while maintaining a carbon-neutral footprint and being the easiest company to work with.

High-Performance Motion Plastics

We center our business around four main product lines that are focused on the idea of “motion plastics”:

  • e-chain® cable carriers

  • chainflex® continuous-flex cables

  • iglide® dry-running bearings

  • drylin® linear bearings and guides

We extensively test all of our products under real-world conditions in our 41,000-square-foot testing facility in Germany. The test data is compiled and then uploaded into our online tools and service-life calculators to enable customers to find the best material and component for their specific application. With over 80,000 products available from stock within our Rhode Island warehouse, we’re able to ship up to 96% of orders within 24 hours.

Tirelessly Serving Our Customers

At igus, nothing is more important to us than our customers. We often refer to the customer as our sun—the center of our universe; the light that guides us towards excellence. We organize our teams around the customer to quickly implement their ideas and meet their unique specifications, even when it requires innovation, since our success is dependent upon their success.

Our team of sales engineers is available from 8AM to 5PM, coast to coast, with a dedicated team of technical sales experts located across North America for quick on-site assistance or installation and engineering services. We also offer complimentary online CAD files and extensive free product samples.

Fostering the Future of Engineering

In addition to providing customers with reliable, high-performance products and superior customer service, we also believe in the importance of fostering the mechanical design ideas of students. Through our Y.E.S. (Young Engineers Support) Program, we donate free products to robotics competitions, schools, and hundreds of thousands of students worldwide.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

Being a producer of plastic components, reducing our environmental impact has become a primary focus for us. To that end, we recycle and reuse 99% of our plastic waste. We have also made the switch to exclusively green electricity and climate-neutral gas, and plan to reach CO2 neutrality by 2025.
