Mariana Cogan shares with Machine Design how she advocates for diversity in leadership as a chief marketing officer. She offers advice for workers entering the manufacturing field, the most important qualities she believes leaders should have and how to encourage a team.

In this second of a two-part series, Mariana Cogan, CMO for digital transformation at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, continues to share her journey and insights as an executive in a predominantly male industry. She talks about the biggest challenges facing manufacturing as well as how digital transformation will affect this sector.

Cogan expresses optimism for the future—particularly through initiatives aimed at attracting younger talent. Her vision is to leave a legacy of empowerment for future generations, encouraging young women—especially those from diverse backgrounds—to pursue leadership roles in manufacturing and believe in their ability to succeed.
