Nordson’s PICO Nexμs Jetting System Connects Fluid Dispensing to Industry 4.0 Efficiency

June 28, 2024
Manufacturers can connect, control and monitor jetting functions using industrial Ethernet protocols from a human machine interface (HMI) of their choice at the point of dispense.

Nordson EFD’s controller is a compact solution designed for smart factory readiness, tailored to manage and monitor the fluid jetting functions of PICO Pμlse XP jet valves. The device employs standard 24V, DIN-rail mounted plug-and-play technology to optimize production space utilization, especially where multiple valves are required.

Key features include:

  • Plug-and-play smart factory integration with robust network connectivity
  • Provides real time manufacturing insights for a data-driven production process
  • Allows quick integration into manufacturing processes via easy programming.

By using industrial Ethernet protocols, such as PROFITNET and EtherNet/IP, the PICO Nexμs establishes communication with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), enhancing programming effectiveness. It combines connectivity, control and monitoring capabilities through an HMI at the point of dispense.
