Idea cars: Three Chrysler cars were designed to test public acceptance of new styling concepts. Flight Sweep I (top) seats four passengers, has a wheelbase of 120 in., overall length of 207 in., and overall height of 531/2 in. Flight Sweep II (second from top) is identical mechanically. Both models are styled with a sharply sloping windshield and upswept rear fenders. The console is placed between the seats for heater, turn-signal, and automatictransmission controls.

The Falcon I (bottom) is a two-passenger sports roadster with a wheelbase of 105 in., overall length of 182 in., and overall height of 51 in. Its externally mounted exhaust system is said to provide a powerful "mechanical" look.
