A SWAT team for conveyors? That seems to be the idea behind a new program from conveyor manufacturer Dorner Mfg. Co., Hartland, Wis. Dorner’s FIT Program sends trained technicians to work sites to evaluate processing and packaging conveyors and train in-house personnel. They will also help install new equipment and provide replacement parts. The program is in response to the trend among manufacturing companies to cut back on maintenance.

“Our FIT Squad is qualified to help customers reduce capital and scrap expenses, conserve resources, meet safety requirements, repurpose existing conveyors, and meet green objectives,” says Dorner Director of parts and services Gary Wemmert.
