Building a better mouse pad

Sept. 15, 2005
There's a new mouse pad in town.

Atomic Bolt LP, Austin, Tex., claims the Banshee Pad, made from a solid piece of airplane-grade aluminum, improves maneuverability of both laser and optical mice.

The pad's low-friction surface is designed for gamers who want microseconds-faster reactions and those needing improved mouse performance. The 10.5 3 14-in. pad is laser cut from a single sheet of aluminum, anodized in four techno colors, and hand-finished.
