End-of-arm tooling mounts

July 11, 2013
A line of mounting elements offers an easy way to install suction cups and accessories at the correct working position for end-of-arm tooling. The parts line — mounting brackets (MB), height adjusters (HA), suction-cup rod extensions (SE), and level compensators (LC) —is designed to fit together for different sizes and applications (M5, G1/8 in., G¼ in., G3/8 in.). The steel MBs are suitable for mounting on extruded-aluminum profiles, can be adjusted horizontally (X direction), and lock against the extruded profile with two included screws. The HAs are hollow with an internal air/vacuum channel and have a long outer thread with dimensions, M12, M16, M20, or M25 that adjust the position of the suction cup up/down (Y direction). Tightening the two threaded locknuts clamps the height adjuster on the MB. The SE can be attached to the HA or LC if the cup position needs to be prolonged vertically (Y direction). LCs facilitate the vacuum handling of objects with different heights and its extra-long stroke expands the possibility to handle parts with challenging geometries.Piab USA Inc., 65 Sharp St., Hingham, MA 02043, (781) 337-7309, www.piab.com
