The 781RC MicroMark ink-spray marker from EFD Inc., East Providence, R.I. (www.efd-inc.com), creates uniformly round patterns and strips from 0.2 to 1.2-in. wide without clogging or overspraying. It can be used to color code components, indicate pass/fail on quality tests during manufacturing, or show production status. Users can operate the marker manually or use a programmed controller.
A recirculating pump keeps pigments in suspension, while a programmable air delay between spraying cycles cleans the nozzle, eliminates clogs and reduces maintenance and associated downtime. The device can handle 400 cycles/min and runs on 70 to 90 psi of compressed air.
