A digital noncontact wireless system provides power to rotating electronics on the shaft. It also transmits digital signals to the receiver. Torque signals are represented as calibrated high-level voltages. Wireless transmission also reduces electrical noise, while increasing frequency responses and speed rating. Optional optical encoder measures angle or speed.
