Simulating Design Of Nondestructive Sensors

Nov. 3, 2005
CIVA V 7.1 simulates the operation of components in nondestructive sensors used to find unwanted material flaws.

For example, simulation ensures a sensor can detect whether a flaw is located near the scan surface, throughout the thickness of the material, or on the far extremity of the surface. CIVA is available for both eddy current and ultrasonic-detection methods.
