Shaft-Grounding Brush

Sept. 28, 2006
The Aegis SGR conductive microfiber brush prevents electrical damage to ac motor bearings and extends motor life by channeling harmful shaft currents to ground.

Conductive microfibers inside the shaftgrounding brush provide the path of least resistance for shaft currents to discharge to the motor frame. The brush installs easily by sliding the ring over either end of the motor shaft ad locking it in place with simple screw-on mounting brackets. The conductive microfibers work with no friction and wear and last for the life of the motor. The SGR fits NEMA ac motors ranging from 1 to 1,500 hp with shaft diameters of 0.311 to 6.020 in.
