Sealed Bearing Cartridges

Sept. 14, 2006
Maintenance-free, sealed bearing cartridges are an alternative to greased bronzed, hardened-steel and rollingelement bearings.

The self-lubricating cartridges eliminate the need for automated greasing systems. The units can handle bearing stresses to 90,000 lbf/in.², have good wear rates, are dimensionally stable, and corrosion resistant. The cartridges have an integral lip seal to keep contaminants out. A zinc-plated steel outer shell protects against compressive loads. The cartridges can accommodate shaft diameters of 1 to 4 in. and housing bores from 1.75 to 4.875 in.
