Polyester-Based Polyurethane

Aug. 24, 2006
Pyrathane 88A is a polyester-based polyurethane with a Shore hardness of 88A, making it suitable for drive belts.

The material provides approximately 30% more tension than standard Pyrathane 83A for a greater level of drive. Pyrathane 88A's flex-fatigue resistance is not compromised by the increased hardness and tension and its coefficient of friction and abrasion resistance is also quite good. Pyrathane belts, in both metric or inch requirements and round or flat configurations, are tough and trouble-free and provide a clean and quiet method to transmit power or convey products.
