Available in one, two, three, and four-axis versions, the Prodigy card has motion-control features including trajectory generation, servoloop closure, quadrature signal input, motor-output signal generation, performance trace, on-the-fly changes, and commutation.
The cards use high-density logic circuitry for motion-control functions programmed in C/C ++ or Visual Basic language. The features include S-curve trapezoidal, velocity contouring, electronic gearing, and user-generated profile modes. The cards provide servoloop rates of up to 50- sec/axis, high-speed motion trace for servo-tuning diagnostics (with 40-kbyte onboard dual-port memory), and pulse and direction output of up to 5 µm pulses/sec.
