The SimplIQ Trombone is a dc offline servodrive that operates from a very-high voltage (up to 7-kW) power source without a transformer, using a “direct to mains” connection to a 400 or 750-Vdc power source. The pin-based Trombone can be PCB mounted or integrated within the motor.
Two dc-bus options are available: 80 to 400 Vdc and 200 to 750 Vdc, with a built-in smart supply for controlling the backup capabilities.

The Trombone operates with sinusoidal, trapezoidal, and dc motors. The feature-rich servomotor combines high-power density, programming flexibility, CANopen networking, and motion-control features for use in a wide variety of applications.
