New Product: Torque-Programmed Electric Screwdriver

April 10, 2008
The Multi-Torque electric screwdriver can be programmed to install fasteners with up to eight different torque values.

The clutchless tool delivers between 4 and 132 lb-in. of torque. Other variables such as ramp time, rundown speed, slow stop, auto-reverse, and hard/soft joint capability can be tailored to match assembly requirements for up to 200 sequential fastening operations.

A pistol-style or in-line driver is combined with a Smart Arm to apply appropriate torque to each fastener location. A built-in tray holds sockets and bits, each correlated to driving sites and torque requirements. Optional Smart Bins extend the relationship to fasteners being delivered. Input/Output connections are available for further automation. The driver housings and cord sets are ESD safe.
