New Product: Microstepping driver/controller

May 8, 2008
The R256-RO has step resolutions from 2× to 256× and operates from 12 to 40 Vdc with phase currents from 0.1 to 2.0-A peak.

The drive features programmable ramps and speeds, software selectable hold and move currents, two user configurable digital I/Os, and two dedicated inputs: an optical sensor for homing and a switch closure to ground. A 4-kbyte memory can store up to 16 programs for stand-alone operation, or commands may be issued by a PC using a terminal program or Lin Control, a graphical-user interface.
