New Product: Glass-Encapsulated Thermistor

Feb. 7, 2008
Combining thermistor technology with stateof- the-art automated assembly gives the 55000 Series GEM (glass-encapsulated-material) thermistor qualities common to higher-end glass thermistors.

Features include - 0.012°C shift at 100°C after 10 months; interchangeability to ±0.10°C over a 0 to 70°C range; hermetic seal for moist environments; temperature ranges from –80 to +200°C; two-wire connection for circuit simplicity; and resistance from 2,252 Ω to 30 kΩ at 25°C. An automated thermistor manufacturing process eliminates the variation involved in manual assembly by using robotic cells to encapsulate the conducting material in glass. Automated, close- loop calibration produces thermistors with the same interchangeability with smaller size than higher-end glass thermistors.
