Liquid-Silicone Rubber

Silastic LC 2004 Series liquid-silicone rubber (LSR) comes in seven formulations ranging from 20 to 70 durometer. The materials feature higher molding temperatures than high-consistency rubber for improved manufacturing throughput and shorter cycle times.

The LSR is applied through an automated injection process and its smooth release from mold allows for creating intricate parts designs. The material is suitable for applications including diving goggles and baby bottle nipples, where a durable, clear, unblemished surface is required.
