Handheld Vibration Spectrum Analyzer

Feb. 17, 2005
The DAS-1258 vibration-spectrum analyzer with data-acquisition module uses a Palm tungsten PDA for display analysis.

Four analog inputs can be configured for accelerometers and other sensors. Units can display fast-fourier transforms (FFT) of 13 different frequency ranges from 0 to 5 kHz with a resolution of 1,024 points for a single side of the spectrum. Special software moves data from the handheld into an Excel workbook on a PC. General-purpose data acquisition may take place using four single-ended 12-bit analog inputs, digital input lines for a counter and trigger, and two output lines for external device switching.
