Dense RF Connector

Sept. 16, 2004
The Mini-BNC (bayonet-nut coupling) Series of RF connectors are designed for higher connector densities used in next-generation telecom and broadband applications.

The BNC offers the same advantages of a bayonet-locking mechanism for quicker connect and disconnects while permitting 40% more interconnects in the same area. The connectors are fit for 75- systems and offer 500 mating cycles, superior electrical performance up to 2 GHz, and intermatability with competitive miniature BNCs. The BNC uses standard installation tooling, eliminating the need to retrain field installers. A PC board-mount jack uses the same footprint as standard BNC jacks for drop-in replacement in DS3 telecom applications. The connectors are available in straight and right-angle plug configurations for popular cable sizes, as well as straight and right-angle PCB jack receptacles for boardmount applications. Sample quantities are available.
