Coin-Cell Retainer

Sept. 28, 2006
A top-loaded coil-cell retainer is designed for high-density PCB packaging.

The low-profile device, for automated placement in SMT applications, has solder tails located outside the insulating material to support vision and other inspection systems. The retainer, engineered with spring-tension dynamics, ensures low-contact resistance, is available for throughhole use, and has clearly marked polarity. It accepts all 11.6-mm coincell lithium batteries and is safe for most soldering and reflow operations.
