CFD works with CAD

    FloWizard 3.0 CFD software works with NX, SolidWorks, and Pro/Engineer, with the Pro/E and NX connections now providing associativity between CAD and CFD.

    Users can set up and perform FloWizard calculations for Pro/E or NX models, make parametric changes in Pro/E or NX, then update the CFD models with the modified CAD models. For HVAC simulations, FloWizard adds models for fans and vents placed at inlets, outlets, and inside the flow domain. The models improve the analysis of room ventilation and automotive climate- control systems. And cylindrical porous-media models improve performance predictions for catalytic converters. Also, radiation models improve heat-transfer analysis for electronics cooling and power-industry applications.
