A high-strength structural rivet offers a 1 /4-in. grip range that lets it join assemblies from 1 /8 to 7 /8 -in. thick. It is equipped with a shear ring that breaks free from the pin and settles into the appropriate catch groove after reaching maximum clamp. Double locks ensure it securely locks assemblies from both sides. According to the manufacturer, the blind rivets install precisely within seconds and require only a quick visual inspection to confirm accurate set. It is available in steel 3 /16 and 1 /4-in. sizes.
