Lenze-AC Tech names new sales director
Lenze-AC Tech, Uxbridge, Mass., announces the promotion of Eric Klein to director of sales for North, Central, and South America. Klein was previously the company's northeast regional sales director. He is a graduate of Cornell University with a BS in Engineering and has spent four years with Lenze-AC Tech, 16 years at Toshiba, and four years with Reliance Electric. The company manufactures servomotors and drives, clutches and brakes, gears and gear motors, and variable frequency ac motor drives.
Kuhnz to lead Dorner marketing efforts
Dorner Manufacturing Corp., Hartland, Wis., has named John Kuhnz to the role of marketing director. Kuhnz will oversee conveyor-platform marketing; he will also coordinate new product research functions for industrial and sanitary markets. Kuhnz joined Dorner in April 2006 and led the development of the company's AquaPruf platform.
John Kowal elected to OMAC Board
John Kowal of B&R Industrial Automation, Roswell, Ga., was elected to a three-year term on the OMAC (Organization for Machinery and Automation Control) Board of Directors during the group's meeting at the ARC Automation Forum in Orlando, Fla. He also serves on two Packaging Machinery Manufacturers' Institute (PMMI) committees. B&R's Uwe Keiter, an end user business development manager based in Germany, was recently named to the executive committee of the OMAC Packaging Workgroup in recognition of the company's and Keiter's contributions. National Instruments collaborates with maxon precision motors
National Instruments Corp., Austin, Tex., and maxon precision motors, Fall River, Mass., are now collaborating to advance robotics. An informal relationship between the two companies began in 2006, with the inclusion of NI LabVIEW Vis in maxon's EPOS family of digital position and speed controllers. Most recently, the two companies collaborated on the design and development of ViNI, an all inclusive robotics platform created by engineers at National Instruments. ViNI is driven exclusively by maxon motors, gearheads, and encoders and NI CompactRIO embedded controls.
Cicoil receives Raytheon award
Cicoil Inc., Valencia, Calif., has been recognized for its quality and delivery performance by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems. AST products with the CE logo conform to EMC Directive 2004/108/EC for Electromagnetic Compatibility.
