A new roller-screw option lets integrated motor rod-style actuators (IMA) deliver up to 3,300 lb of force.

A new roller-screw option lets integrated motor rod-style actuators (IMA) deliver up to 3,300 lb of force. The IMA features a hollow core rotor and skewed motor windings. The hollow-core rotor lets screw’s nut pass inside the rotor, decreases actuator length. The IMA exerts a force of up to 3,300 lb and moves at about 12 ips. Motor voltages in incremental stroke length from 6 to18 in. are available.
