The PIM-S system offers single-connection testing for swept frequency S-parameter and passive intermodulation (PIM) measurements on passive components used in the deployment of 3G base stations.
The system may be used with GSM/EGSM, DCS 1800, PCS 1900, and UMTS-FDD standards conforming to industry recommendations and IEC 62037 including testing requirements with two 46-dBm tones. The PIM-S supports both transmission and reflection PIM requirements with typical residual levels of ?125 dBm. The system incorporates a PIM power-amplifier unit, PIM filter unit, interconnect accessories, and PIM-S software.
