Summary

The convergence of healthcare and technology is making it essential to develop expertise in all forms of market-leading technologies—from precision dispensing to cutting-edge material science to AI and cybersecurity. Medical device companies will need to carefully evaluate their businesses and operating models if they are to deliver value beyond the device.

In keeping with this trajectory, our panelists explore some of the trends, technologies and innovations that contribute to the evolution of medical devices.

Panelists answer questions on:

  • The economic or therapeutic trends that will impact the medical device industry in the next five years.
  • What manufacturers and machine designers are doing to meet the demand for smaller, smarter medical devices.
  • How recent innovations in design and materials enhance performance and versatility?
  • How the IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) informs the future of medical device manufacturing.
  • How cybersecurity impacts the industry, and strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Speakers
