Dorner Conveyor Platforms Roll Out at WestPack

Feb. 8, 2016
Among the conveyor platforms unveiled by Dorner at WestPack 2016 is the AquaPruf VBT, which moves bulk products in straight-up 90-deg. sanitary applications.

The new AquaPruf VBT conveyor will headline Dorner Mfg.’s platforms on display at WestPack 2016 (Booth 5010), Feb. 9-11, Anaheim, Calif. The VBT (vertical belt technology) conveyor moves bulk products in straight-up 90-deg. sanitary applications. A staggered sidewall belt increases pocket capacity and improves product release versus a traditional sidewall belt. It can elevate a range of products (fruits/vegetables, pet food, pharmaceuticals, etc.) in applications such as elevation for walk-thru, hopper-feeding and other environments.

Another conveyor platform on display will be the SmartFlex Spiral, which can twist 360 deg. to move products vertically in a very small footprint. Its chain design makes it possible to maintain speeds and loads through the angled curve.

For moving small parts, the 1100 Series makes it possible to move small or lightweight products in extremely tight spaces. According to Dorner its ¾-in. frame height is lowest-profile conveyor available in North America. Also, the new 2200 Series Universal Drive motor and mounting package covers all speeds and loads in the 2200 line. A maximum of 15 different mounting positions are possible. No gearbox is needed thanks to the drive’s high torque run at a low speed.
