The ME Series of linear-position sensors are for measuring the ram position of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
The ME Series of linear-position sensors are for measuring the ram position of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Designed as drop-in replacements for embedded magnetostrictive position sensors and potentiometers, the sensors can also replace embedded resistance potentiometers. Based on contactless inductive-sensing technology that uses solid probe construction, the sensors require only a simple conductive tubular target or a small diameter deep hole gun drilled in the cylinder rod for operation rather than needing a permanent magnet ring, counterbored hole, or any other type of special target.

Features include no magnet required; 4 to 36-in. (100 to 900‑mm) measurement range; operates to 5,000 psi or 10,000-ft (3,000‑m) depth; IEC IP67 aluminum or stainless-steel housing; contactless, no wearout; 85°C operation; dc or current analog output; and Senset field-adjustable scaling.
