IEC C8 cord-retaining system

March 25, 2014
IEC C8 cord-retaining system

The first cord-retaining system for IEC C8 appliance inlets has specially adapted retaining clips for C8-type inlets. The clips fit Series 2576 flange-mount and 2578 snap-in mount inlets.

Only one screw is required to fasten the retaining clip to the panel — it mounts along the side of the 2578 and mounts with the same screw used to secure the 2576.

The IEC C8 inlet comes as a complete kit, including retainer clip, inlet, and power-supply cord. The retaining clip is designed and tested to achieve a 200-N retention force with the company’s C8 inlets and mating cord.
