Angular gripper guarantees safe assembly

Aug. 5, 2008
The SWG series of pneumatic angular grippers has added sizes 10 and 12 to its lineup, which now ranges from size 10 to 50

The SWG series of pneumatic angular grippers has added sizes 10 and 12 to its lineup, which now ranges from size 10 to 50. With an opening angle of 15° per finger, and closing and opening times of just a few hundredths of a second, these fast-acting, precise grippers are designed for assembly automation. The low weight of the SWG range (0.11 to 7.51 oz) and the high gripping torque (0.04 to 24.78 lb-in.) enable very high cycles. A spring-loaded grip force safety feature keeps the workpiece securely gripped, even in the event of pressure loss.
