The DF-G1 Expert Dual Display Fiber Amplifier works with laser sensors for plastic and glass assemblies, including wire-break detection. Powered by a high-performance, 32-bit microprocessor with a 12-bit a-d converter, the DF-G1 provides response speeds of 200 μsec to meet high-speed requirements and 500 μsec for standard speed. The amplifier is capable of long-range (2-msec) and extra-long range (5-msec) detection.

The unit’s thermally stable electronics minimize warmup drift and allows multiple amplifiers to be mounted side by side, with no reduction in the ambient temperature limit. An intricate cross-talk avoidance algorithm allows two fiberoptic assemblies to be mounted in close proximity, sensing different features of the same target.
