A renewed range of coils with outer metal reinforcement were launched at the recent Hannover Messe 2022. Suited for use in severe hydraulic applications, the coils with outer metal reinforcement are now available with integrated electronic components, undertaking the important task of dampening voltage peaks—high-intensity transients that can create unclean signals which may generate disturbances towards the control electronics, causing potential damage.
The coils use transils, which are easy to integrate into the coil thanks to their small size and ability to dampen overvoltages bi-directionally (both the positive and negative waves of alternating current). The family of coils with outer reinforcement are designed for use in hydraulic applications in which high performance is required, as well as resistance to severe demanding conditions such as extreme temperatures and strong stresses. The coils also resist in salt spray and are encapsulated in a high-quality thermoplastic material, which guarantees a Class H thermal resistance, for maximum operating temperatures up to 180°C.
