June 4, 2011
The impact modifier works in injection-molding operations.

OnCap BIO L masterbatches are based on Dow PARALOID BPM-520 impact modifier for opaque, injection-molded polylactic acid (PLA) products. The additive boosts impact strength at room and subzero temperatures in PLA and PLA/PC blends. The additive has good flow properties, maintains part stiffness, and is colorable with an attractive surface finish. The additive complies with European Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for food contact.
