New Entry in RFID Market

Feb. 6, 2003

The "BALOGH Distributed by Turck" RFID system is a recent addition to Turck's inventory of more than 13,000 sensor and interface products. The RFID system, which tracks products and manages information, consists of tags, transceivers, controllers, and cordsets. Using the principle of inductive transmission, data can be exchanged to and from the transceivers and passive tags without physical contact. The controller provides data security and acts as an interface to the PLC or PC. The new system can be used in harsh industrial environments. "BALOGH Distributed by Turck" is a partnership between Balogh, Champaign, Ill. (www.balogh.com) and Turck, Minneapolis (www.turck-usa.com), with the goal of providing innovative and quality RFID and connectivity possibilities to a strong industrial base already accustomed to Turck's quality, flexibility, and productivity.
