LEDs add Glitz to the Ferrari

Designer Pininfarina will be using LEDs from Osram Opto Semiconductors for the headlights on the Ferrari P4/5. The P4/5 began as a Ferrari Enzo and ended up as a one-of-a-kind retro racing car. Each headlight has daytime running lights made up of 15 lighting clusters that follow the car's contours. Each cluster has eight Power TopLEDs and eight Thin FaN chips, providing an efficiency of 40 lumens per watt. The ratio of the brightness of these light sources to the minimal space they need impressed Pininfarina. More Information:
