The Mobile Eye tetherless eye-tracking system from Applied Science Laboratories, Bedford, Mass. (www.a-s-l.com), gathers eye and scene images and saves them on a DVCR tape. The tape lasts for 75 min with 130-min battery life. The tape transfers to an included PC that separates the images, performs an analysis, and creates a scene video with cursor overlay. Sample rate is 25/30 Hz. For real-time tracking, the portable DVCR can connect to a PC. Applications include sports, such as golf, baseball, marksmanship, as well as operating motor vehicles and aircraft.
