This White Paper will explain the three methods that are used to close the feedback loop around stepper motors in a control system. These three methods include ways to close the loop around a stepper for applications that need end point accuracy, closed loop microstepping, and two phase brushless (which causes a stepper to act as a servo with a gear box).
