AutomationDirect’s Marathon AC motor line now includes lower-cost, high-performance 0.5 to 5 HP Marathon Max+ series AC motors with integrated encoder. Within the Max+ series, the 230/460 VAC Max+ inverter-duty motors are intended to replace 90 and 180 volt Permanent Magnet DC (PMDC) systems. When compared to PMDC technology, the Max+ motor offers a more efficient alternative and produces more torque per amp.

Max+ series 1000:1 constant torque (TENV) motors can replace multi-speed motors, single-phase motors, and a variable speed upgrade for standard fixed speed motor systems. The motors with integrated 1024 ppr encoder deliver exceptional performance when working with AutomationDirect DURApulse or GS series drives. Max+ AC electrical motors can be applied to: machine tools, conveyors, packaging machines, batching machines, printing equipment, pumps, and fans.
