Linear Drive

June 23, 2014
Linear Drive
A new linear drive provides the high precision and reliability for metering or positioning. Various options can be attached to a geared motor to meet application specifications. The system consists of a precision spindle drive attached to an electronic control system, and an absolute sensor for position. The drive’s core is a standard 25-mm-diameter tin-can motor, based on proven permanent-magnet stepper motor technology, attached to an integral reduction gearbox. The module delivers forces up to 120 N, a positional accuracy of 8/100, and withstands a force of 200 N.
