At CES, John Deere highlighted three new technologies aimed at increasing cost savings and sustainability. The See & Spray Ultimate is a 120-foot sprayer that uses 36 cameras and 10 GPUs to differentiate weed from plant and spray only the weed, boasting a cost savings of herbicide.
Also on display was the company's ExactShot Planter, a new system that places a seed precisely in the ground and puts the fertilizer directly on the seed, resulting in saving 60% savings in fertilizer.
John Deere's highly anticipated electric excavator was also on display. Designed to operate in environments that demand quiet machinery, the excavator can reduce noise so it can run longer. John Deere is aiming to have an eight-hour battery life on the excavator.
