R+W America Precision Couplings Are Available in More Sizes

Nov. 22, 2024
With the addition of sizes 400 and 600 to its Servomax series, R+W aims to give engineers more flexible coupling options to improve performance and reduce design constraints.

R+W America L.P. added two sizes, 400 and 600, to its range of precision elastomer jaw couplings. This expansion aims to provide designers with more options to reduce weight, inertia and physical dimensions and their coupling selections while also aligning more closely with existing models on the market.

The introduction of these intermediate sizes adds to the company’s ability to meet the needs of its clients. The Servomax elastomer coupling series will feature the most popular clamping hub configurations making them suitable for various applications.

Key features include:

  • Precision machined hubs. Each coupling features calibrated preloaded polyurethane inserts that ensure zero backlash, significantly improving the precision of motion transfer.
  • High-strength aluminum. The use of high-strength aluminum construction minimizes inertia and enhances the coupling’s natural balance, promoting efficient operation.
  • Bore diameter options. The size 400 couplings offer a bore diameter range from 25 mm to two inches, while the size 600 couplings provide a bore diameter range from 30 mm to 70 mm, catering to a range of operational requirements.
  • Dimensional specifications. The outside diameter of the size 400 couplings is 95 mm and for size 600 it is 120 mm, providing compact choices.

These two sizes give engineers and designers the ability to select couplings that fit their design specifications more accurately, optimizing space and performance.
