Hollow-Shaft Rotary Actuator Rated IP65 for Harsh Environments

The new FHA-C Series of servo actuators from Harmonic Drives s well suited for harsh packaging environments that regular washdowns and is rated IP65. For milder environments, an IP44-rated version is available. The drive’s hollow shaft can be used to pass cables or tubing through the axis of rotation. They use Harmonic Drive precision gears combined with a performance matched brushless servo motor with a thermal sensor. Positional accuracies ranges from 30 to 60 arc-sec. Drive ratios include 50:1, 100:1, and 160:1. It has several voltage options, including 450- Vac 680 VdcEncoder options include EnDat and HIPPERFACE. IT can also use DESINA style flex-rated cables. The FHA series will operate with a wide range of third-party servo drives, including Bosch, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Kollmorgen.
