The SME Education Foundation has updated its Manufacturing is Cool Web site to target young people and introduce them to the cool world of modern manufacturing. The site home page is the top of a kid's desk. It opens with an invitation to “be an original thinker.” Clicking on a book, “What's Cool, What's New,” lets kids select options for Fun Activities, Careers in Fluid Power, How Everyday Things are Made, or the Video Vault, which includes a visit to John Deere and games such as Star Child, a Learning Center for Young Astronomers.
