High-Grain Rubber Imparts Damping Properties in Anti-Vibration Couplings

Oct. 3, 2023
Couplings manufacturer resolves servo systems performance issues by integrating high-grain rubber into coupling’s aluminum hubs.

In this white paper, the authors discuss that a potential solution for resolving vibration (“hunting”) while operating a servo system at high gain settings. The manufacturer integrated vibration damping technology into the design of the coupling. An analysis of high-gain rubber type couplings is made in order to assess feasibility for semiconductor equipment and other automation fields.
