Engineering School Bracket Challenge: Round 2 Results; Round 3 is Underway!
Sixteen engineering schools went head-to-head in Round 2. The field is now down to eight, and voting for Round 3 has just opened. But first, here’s a quick rundown of the second round:
Purdue’s Boilermakers beat Northwestern, while the University of Michigan overcame Johns Hopkins. Caltech thumped the University of Illinois and Stanford University beat Oregon State. The Rambling Wrecks of Georgia Tech kept their streak going by staving off the University of Texas. MIT had a big win over the University of Wisconsin, and Cornell had a close win over Texas A&M. In a battle in the South, Virginia Tech beat Duke University.
The winning school in this year’s competition will receive several prizes, including software valued at $4 million from Ansys, as well as a host of cool, high-tech stuff from sponsors Altech Corp., Ace Controls Inc., Keysight Technologies, Lapp Group, Maxxon Motors, Schneider Electric, Tektronix, and Texas Instruments.
