2019 Bracket Challenge

And the Winner of the 2019 Machine Design Bracket Competition is...

April 12, 2019
Purdue University takes home all the marbles in this year’s engineering school face-off.

When all the votes were counted and the dust cleared, it was Purdue University that overcame the Georgia Institute of Technology to take the win. That means the students at Purdue will enjoy a party complete with food, music, and prizes. One lucky Boilermaker with go back to the dorm or sorority house or whatever with a $1,500 InstaLab from Digi Key. Another even-luckier Boilermaker will get to kick back on a three-day trip to the West Coast to attend a Maker Faire being held in San Mateo, Calif.

Those who took the time to vote in the Challenge also pulled down some prizes (at a least a few of them did). For example, John H, Greg B., Randall J., James L., and Alex B. will all receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card in the mail. Justin R. will get a GoPro. Elliot L. will unwrap a set of Bose headphones, while Benjamin C. will get to listen to tunes on a TriBit Wireless Bluetooth Speaker.

Thanks to our sponsors Digi-Key Electronics, Renesas Electronics Corp., TE Connectivity Ltd., Nordic Semiconductor, maxon precision motors, Altech Corp., and Texas Instruments who made it all possible.
