  • It brings financial security.
  • Engineers have opportunities for rapid advancement in their companies.
  • Almost every company needs some type of engineer.
  • You can live wherever you want.
  • Engineers frequently have high levels of responsibility and autonomy.
  • You get a chance to improve the world.
  • You can use your creativity every day.
  • You’re always learning new things.
  • You’ll be ready for any problem.
  • You’ll learn how to make awesome things.

I couldn’t find my two favorite reasons: Challenging and interesting work. And you get to meet some of the smartest people in the world.
