Fort Worth-based distributor to align global branding under parent company name.

The new year will bring a new brand name to a familiar distributor in the United States.

Allied Electronics & Automation will be rebranded as RS as part of a global rebranding for the London-based RS Group plc, which is the parent company for Allied Electronics & Automation.

“The name change is part of an overall rebranding strategy to establish a better connection across RS Group’s products and services,” company officials said in a press release. “Having one global RS brand will deliver efficiency, value, and scalability to stakeholders worldwide.”

“This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for us,” said Lindsley Ruth, Chief Executive Officer of RS Group plc, in a press release. “Today, Allied is known as a leading supplier of products and services to the North American Industrial automation, control, and electronics markets. Aligning all of our businesses under RS Group allows us to operate as a single global integrated solutions partner, expanding our value proposition and making it easier for our customers and suppliers to do business with us.”

Founded in 1937, RS Group is a global distributor for product and service solutions for designers, builders and industrial maintenance professionals.
